Most women and couples are elated on hearing news about expecting a child; others however, have mixed emotions.
This could be due to a number of reasons:
Perhaps the relationship is not solid enough to bring up a child.
The pregnancy was not planned.
The expectant mother is in an abusive relationship.
Will I miscarry again with this pregnancy?
The expectant mother has health issues or poor health.
You feel you can't afford another baby.
You have decided to terminate the pregnancy or have had a miscarriage.
Whatever the reason, I am here to listen in a non-judgemental way.
As well as a private practice, I worked for the NHS and SPRING (Supporting Parents & Relatives in Neonatal Grief) counselling women, couples, grandparents and children on pregnancy issues.
